| Violence against women research demonstrates that women are most at risk of male violence from their intimate partners, family members, friends, dating partners, and acquaintances (O'Sullivan 1998; DeKeseredy and Kelly 1993; Koss et al. 1987). Although youth violence has recently received increased Canadian attention, one area that continues to be neglected is male-to-female youth dating violence.
