1.  What are the differences among types of submissions? Back to Top

All abstracts must be submitted on-line through the ASC website at www.asc41.com/annualmeeting.htm. On the site you will be asked to indicate the type of submission you wish to make. Your submission choices include: (1) Thematic Panel, (2) Individual Paper Presentation, (3) Poster Presentation, (4) Roundtable Submission, and (5) Author Meets Critics.
You can view guidelines for each at http://asc41.com/Annual_Meeting/2014/2014_Guidelines.pdf

Complete Thematic Panel – For a Thematic Panel, you must submit titles, abstracts (of no more than 200 words per abstract) and author information for all papers together.  Each panel should contain either 3 or 4 papers.  Discussants are optional.  We encourage panel submissions organized by ASC Divisions and other working groups. THEMATIC PANEL SUBMISSION DEADLINE: Friday, March 15, 2014.

Individual Paper Presentations – To submit an individual paper for presentation, you must submit a title, abstract (of no more than 200 words) and author information.  INDIVIDUAL PAPER SUBMISSION DEADLINE: Friday, March 15, 2014.

Roundtable Sessions/Individual Papers – Roundtable sessions consist of three to six presentations on related topics.  To organize an entire roundtable, you must submit all abstracts (of no more than 200 words) and author information together.  Individual papers can also be considered for roundtables and merely require the request for roundtable presentation in the initial submission.  If you expect large attendance for a session, a panel might provide a better setting. ROUNDTABLE SUBMISSION DEADLINE: Friday, May 17, 2014.
Poster Presentations – These require only the submission of a title and abstract.  Posters should display data, policy analysis or theoretical work in a visually appealing poster format that encourages interactive communication.  All poster sessions will be held late Thursday afternoon. POSTER SUBMISSION DEADLINE: Friday, May 17, 2014.

Author Meets Critics – To submit an author meets critic session, please submit the title of the book as the session title and information for the author(s), session chair and critics.  Abstracts are optional.  AUTHOR MEETS CRITICS DEADLINE:  Friday, March 15, 2014.

If you have any questions or concerns, please email the program chairs at asc14@rutgers.edu

15.  What is the difference between Pre-Registration and On–Site Registration? Back to Top

If you pre-register, when you get to the meeting, you only have to stand in line to pick up your receipt, name badge (already printed), name badge holder, Program Book, and meeting bag.  (Pre-registration forms are available on our website under Annual Meeting.)

If you register on–site, you will most likely have to endure a longer wait in line because you will have to fill out a registration form, pay your fees, have your badge printed, and then pick up your name badge holder, Program Book, and meeting bag.  We advise against on-site registration.  Please save yourself time by pre-registering.
